Established in 1972, by Francis Carrier, his brother Bruno as well as a longtime friend Émil Couture, Pintendre Autos started out a far cry from what can be observed today, however back then the quality standards were embedded from the start into the firm's corporate culture & identity. Our adventure started in a little barn which in less than a year of operations had to be replaced. The installations purchased in 1973 offered tremendous opportunities for indoor storage along with a sizeable piece of land for exterior storage needs. The newly acquired facility also offered enormous potential for future expansion projects.

In
1982, we were running out of office space, so we built a
second floor thereby doubling our office space. In the
meantime, our warehouses and shops were constantly being
upgraded and kept growing at a astounding rate. In 1984
Pintendre Autos became the largest auto recycling facility
in the Province of Quebec, ever since this title has always
remained ours.

Once again in 1989, our ever expanding team had outgrown our facilities, this time around major changes were inevitable. The end result had to pay tribute to our unparalleled professionalism in addition to clearly set us apart from the rest of the industry, we chose an unprecedented look which would carry our corporate identity for decades to come. The architects proposed a distinct brand image with a vehicle facade built right into our corporate offices.
The
results were very impressive and more than 10 years
later, we are still very proud of this North
American tribute to automotive recycling.

| Once
again in 2001 another upgrading was overdue.
This time around it was our production
facilities that all needed more work space.
We used this opportunity to reengineer our
whole production system and consequently
build the new production facility to operate
as an optimized production chain. The
efficiencies of the production chain concept
allowed us to lower our operating costs
which allowed us to price our products more
aggressively (cost savings to the consumers).
In 2003,
Group Pintendre opted for geographic
expansion and acquired the Montreal based
recycler, Allie Auto Parts. The geographic
positioning of Allie Auto Parts coupled with a
solid image and reputation made this an obvious
choice.
Located less than 500 meters from the Lafontaine
tunnel, Allie-Pintendre is in prime position to
offer a delivery service that will live up to the
expectations of the Greater Montreal clientele.
After
more than 30 years in business, we are truly
proud to continue offering the very best
that automotive recycling has to offer.
Twice
a big as any other Quebec auto recyclers,
and now the North American & World
leader, Pintendre Autos offers you the most
complete selection of used auto parts.
2007
In our perpetual quest to deliver the best service to our valued customers, Pintendre Autos joined the ranks of LKQ Corporation. This auto recycling specialist owns and operates over 100 facilities throughout the United States and Canada.
